Polarized lenses only block reflected glare from horizontal surfaces (e.g., wet roads, car hoods). They cannot eliminate direct light from oncoming LED headlights or internal reflections inside your windshield from dashboard lights. For those, reduce dashboard brightness or use an anti-glare film.

Regular UV sunglasses (100% UV protection) are enough for daily walking and casual use. Polarized is highly recommended for driving, fishing, skiing, and bright reflective environments.

Quality polarized lenses remove hazy glare, making colors appear more saturated and true (e.g., deeper blue sky, greener leaves). Cheap lenses may have unwanted tints.
